Welcome to the Smart Art Business Podcast hosted by art business coach Rachel Wilkins. The Smart Art Business Podcast aims to help visual artists and creative entrepreneurs grow and sustain a successful business. Featuring tangible advice and inspiring interviews with artists and industry experts, you will learn how to brand, market, and sell your art the smart way.

In this episode, Rachel Wilkins has a tear-jerking, painful conversation with Maryanne Chisholm as she shares about her mental health and her prison experience where she served time for crimes committed by another individual. She speaks on her healing process and how art helped her through the toughest days and is still her source of peace as she makes her mark in the NFT and web three world. Her story is that of betrayal of people and loss of trust in the system as much as it is about strength, resilience, determination and overcoming obstacles.

Maryanne Chisholm is an acclaimed Surreal Painter and Illustrator. Her work has shown in Galleries nationally & internationally including Stratosphere in 2022 NYC, NFT.NYC. Maryanne has been featured and profiled by MOCA (The Museum of Crypto Art), Outsider Magazine, and Artist Magazine; In 2021 Maryanne was awarded the Collectors Vision Award, by Contemporary Curator Magazine, for completing a body of socially significant work. Currently, She is an Ambassador for Known Origin,  Artozo and Mint Marketplace. She has been interviewed by PBS, Business Insider and Bloomberg Magazine.
